Zampa: Amauri will be Juve's

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has underlined the fact Brazilian striker Amauri will still join Juventus in the coming weeks.

The deal was close to being sealed yesterday, but then negotiations were unexpectedly interrupted following Amauri's agents requests for a £1.4m payout from the Rosanero.

“The deal is not over, Amauri will go to Juve. I was only disappointed by the way Grimaldi has tried to steal money from me,” he said.

“But there is no other negotiation for him apart from the Juventus one. Grimaldi is creating those rumours, Amauri will be a Bianconero but with no payout,” insisted the Sicilians' patron.

Meanwhile, Juventus are looking to get rid of some unwanted players in order to collect the £9m needed to sign Amauri.

Portuguese midfielder Tiago Mendes, who has been hugely disappointing this season, has been requested by Sporting Lisbon and Atletico Madrid.

The Old Lady could also opt for a switch with Argentine defender Fabricio Coloccini, who currently plays in Spain for Deportivo La Coruna.

Sergio Almiron is on his way out too, but the Bianconeri do not wish to sell him, preferring to loan him to one of several interested clubs such as Napoli and Olympiacos.

Marco Marchionni could also be leaving this summer since he hasn't been able to impress at the Olimpico due to injury.

However, his agent Bruno Carpeggiani is expected to meet the Bianconeri Board today and the player may decide to stay put despite offers from a number of sides, including Fiorentina.
