Elkaan: Giovinco Is Staying
Juventus heir John Elkaan has revealed that the club has no intention of selling popular youngster Sebastian Giovinco.
Giovinco is currently on loan at Empoli but he is set to return with the Bianconeri for next season.
The young playmaker has attracted interest from several clubs and it has been reported that Palermo want him in order to allow Amauri to move to Juventus.
The Bianconeri are not giving in to the Rosanero’s demands which could mean that Amauri won’t be wearing a Juve jersey nest season.
“We want to keep Sebastian Giovinco at all costs,” said Elkaan.
“He will be vital for next season given our Champions League and Serie A ambitions.
“We will try to strengthen our squad with some quality players as our primary objective will be to do well in Europe.
“We have available resources to do well in the transfer market and we will try to do this in the best way possible.”
The Bianconeri will have to qualify for the Champions League group stage via the preliminaries after failing to reach second place in Serie A this term.
Juve play Sampdoria on Saturday night because of TV rights, while Serie A’s remaining games for the final game week of the season take place on Sunday.
