Atletico back on Tiago trail

There are reports that Atletico Madrid are tracking Juventus midfield misfit Tiago Mendes again after failed talks in January.
Much was expected of Tiago when he arrived from Lyon last summer for around £10m, but he has failed to settle in Turin and played a peripheral role last term.
With the arrival of Mali international Mohamed Sissoko, who has impressed so far in the Bianconeri shirt, many expect Tiago to look elsewhere for first-team football.
La Liga outfit Atletico made an approach for the Portuguese ace in the winter transfer window, but were discouraged by Juve’s price tag.
Tottenham reportedly were willing to match the Old Lady’s demands, but Tiago refused to move to England.
However, now it seems that the two sides are more determined to find an agreement with Tiago expressing his desire to play in Spain.
Sources suggest that Juve will be willing to accept around £7m now as they look for extra funding to reinforce their squad for a Scudetto push next term.
