Amauri Juve Talks Drag On Further
Transfer talks regarding Amauri’s proposed move to Juventus have been delayed again until next Tuesday, however the player’s agent insists that an agreement is now much closer.
he long-running transfer saga had appeared to be coming to a conclusion, when it was reported yesterday that Juventus had agreed to meet the Brazilian’s €3.7m-a-season wage demands.
Amauri’s agent Mariano Grimaldi met Bianconeri director Jean-Claude Blanc in Turin last night, and there was hope that the deal could be closed.
However an agreement still has not been reached, and more talks have been arranged for next week.
“We are taking a pause to reflect until next Tuesday,” Grimaldi told journalists.
“We need some time to think things over and I will leave the player to decide. But we are much closer to an agreement after the evening’s meeting.”
Juventus are said to be prepared to pay Palermo €10m, plus offer Antonio Nocerino on loan, and either Davide Lanzafame or Claudio Marchisio on full ownership.
The Rosanero, who had been desperate to acquire Sebastian Giovinco, have now given up hope of getting their hands on the young sensation.
