Molinaro: Let’s Start Against Siena With A Bang

Cristian Molinaro has called for Juventus to make another fast start when they take on Siena this weekend.

The Old Lady have been criticised for much of the season for starting matches slowly, but just recently they have turned this around as they have scored seven goals in the first half in their last two matches against Atalanta and Lazio combined.

“We'll have to start off with a bang, like we did in Bergamo, to “take the wind out of them” and prevent them from becoming more confident with each passing minute,” said Molinaro.

The 24-year-old spent two seasons on loan at Siena from 2005 until 2007, and he says the experience was vital for his career.

“The period at Siena was extremely important for me,” he noted.

“It's the ideal place where a young player can grow and gain experience.

“I had the chance to play in a team where I felt the club had faith in me, and it was a crucial period for me. I got into contact with top-flight football and I earned a call up from Juve, the dream I’d had since I was a kid.”

One Juventus-owned player who is excelling with the Tuscans this campaign is Paolo De Ceglie, who plays in the same position at left back as Molinaro.

“I don't know him personally, but as a player you can see he has great quality. I read in the newspapers that he might be coming back to Turin and I'd be happy about that, because rivalry is always useful to try and improve yourself,” Molinaro concluded.
