Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli is celebrating two years at the helm in Turin and has reflected on successful period.

The popular chief took over after the Calciopoli scandal decimated the club back in the summer of 2006.

And he has guided the Old Lady back to the summit of Italian football and into the Champions League.

“These have been two intense years packed with emotion, uncertainty and fear,” the Juve supremo wrote in a letter to the club’s fans.

“The tension has been more than made up for by the satisfaction at being in charge of a team that create such passion and are loved by millions of people.

“The club has regained faith in itself and can now look forward with hope and belief.

“I want to thank Jean-Claude Blanc for his knowledgeable guidance of the club through turbulent times with all his decisions from appointing Claudio Ranieri as Coach to the financial moves.”

The Old Lady have brought promising youngsters Paolo De Ceglie and Claudio Marchisio back this summer as well as Sebastian Giovinco and Cobolli Gigli mentioned them in his conclusion.

“The youngsters are the pillars on which we want to build the Juventus of tomorrow,” he said. “I look forward to seeing them in the Bianconeri jersey.”
