Flavio Roma

Juventus Prepare To Swoop For Monaco Goalkeeper

Juventus are currently looking to Monaco goalkeeper Flavio Roma as Gianluigi Buffon’s understudy according to Calciomercato.

The Bianconeri are currently strengthening their side and they will need an experienced second-choice goalkeeper in order to cover for Buffon as they attempt to make a serious challenge on both the Scudetto and Champions League next season.

According to reports in Italy, The Old Lady have been talking to Monaco over the 34-year-old shot stopper and it is believed a deal may be on the horizon given the good relationship between both clubs.

The Bianconeri are likely to offer Jorge Andrade to Monaco on loan as part of the deal to bring Roma across the alps.

Emanuele Belardi is currently Juve’s second ‘Keeper but he is not considered to have enough experience at the top level.

Roma on the other hand is a veteran with plenty of experience both in Europe and in Italy as well as having spent the last seven years with the Ligue 1 outfit making 161 appearances.
