Del Piero: Champions League Over Scudetto
Juventus striker Alessandro Del Piero reveals he would prefer to win the Champions League over the Scudetto but he insists his side will fight on both fronts...
The superstar returned to training on Thursday following his stunning display against Real Madrid. Del Piero scored a brilliant brace which saw Juve win at the Bernabeu for the first time since 1962.
The hit-man has now spoken of his feat in the Spanish capital and he has set his sights firmly on the European Cup.
"It's difficult to say which one I would prefer to win," Del Piero told Juventus Channel.
"I think the Champions League would be better to win because it gives you certain emotions but we want to try and win both and we will see what happens in February.
"I feel really good at the moment both mentally and physically and I have learned plenty over the last 15 years."
Del Piero then had some words on Sebastian Giovinco who is being tipped to take over from him in future.
"We are delighted to have him in the team and I am convinced he will give great satisfaction to the club. I hope he scores plenty of goals for Juventus," concluded Del Piero.
Juventus travel to Chievo Verona this weekend as they attempt to rack up more points. Del Piero is likely to start for his side.
