Er Pupone recently heaped plenty of praise on the Bianconcero for the stunning form he has shown over the last month. The Juve number 10 has been outstanding for his club and he has led the charge from the front.
And Alessandro Del Piero has now responded to Francesco Totti in the way he knows best.
"I read Totti's compliments and they are words which made me feel plenty of pleasure because they were written with affection and admiration," Del Piero told Il Corriere Dello Sport.
"We have a great relationship with plenty of admiration on both sides even if we don't call each other up.
"Francesco is great and I would like to thank him for these nice words. I hope he gets back to his best soon."
Del Piero has never really seen eye to eye with Totti and this goes back to their days together with Italy when they had their differences.
Reports had always suggested there was friction between both players and that was the reason behind their failure to integrate together on the pitch for the Azzurri.
The Juventus man will be in action tomorrow night when Genoa come to town while the Rome-born star will clash with Lazio in the big crunch derby match on Sunday.
