Two magical numbers at the Bernabeu to help Juve fly to the next phase of the Champions League an write another beautiful page in the history of the club in black and white. Alessandro Del Piero is the man of the day and on today he shared his magical moment with Juventus supporters by participating on Filo Diretto on Juventus Channel. The viewers literally overloaded the telephone lines and email address to speak to the captain, posing their questions and expressing their birthday wishes (on Sunday Del Piero will turn 34), or simply to show their affection towards him. Alex on his part had a smile and an answer for all of them and spoke of the match against Real, of his extraordinary physical condition, of Juventus and of the next objectives.

«I am very proud of this, but I am not really thinking of it. Whenever I broke a record I always experienced moments of happiness, but I’m not thinking of this at the moment. I will start to do so when I stop playing. One must always set new objectives for himself, new dreams and then seek to fulfil them. Yesterday I reached these objectives and now I will find new ones. The next? Sunday we play in the league: I hope to win...to score».

The victory against Real
«When you manage tow in such matches its because everybody has done his part. We played with humility recognizing qualities in Real which we do not possess. They together with Barcellona are amongst the best teams in ball possession, but we fielded our qualities: concentration, humility, will to fight for every ball. And these are the qualities that we must maintain to aim for the best».

An emotional moment
«I am very emotional because yesterday we made a very, very important step even though perhaps we do not realize fully at the time being. We won in Madrid after nearly 50 years and not only. It was a very important match that permitted our qualification to the next round with two games still to play. It’s a beautiful moment, let us enjoy it to the utmost».

«They were always by our side, even during the difficult period that we faced. The reaction they had was that which every player would like to find because when you feel supported during difficult moments it helps you bring out your supplementary energy. Continue this way».

Championship or Champions League?
«Today it would be obvious to say Champions League seeing the sensations experienced and the unique matches. However, even though I could answer in this way, we want to give our best for both objectives and then in January, February, we will begin to calculate things».

«Its fundamental, because it brings you back down to earth when you do well and on the other hand helps you to get back up during a negative patch. it allows you to look at the situation objectively».

«I feel well, I’m happy, I’m different from the past because certain experiences leave a mark, help you mature, strike you in a particular way. When it comes to my character I’m always the same, however, the difference from 15 years ago is that all I have been through allows me to see things in a different manner with regards to events, even those to do with football».

The secret behind the free-kicks
«Surely having certain qualities helps, but naturally one must work hard: I train to shoot them, not everyday but at least twice a week. How does Giovinco take them? He is very clever, he already scored a number of goals from free-kicks in the youth teams and with Empoli. He comes to train with me showing that he wants to improve. We are happy to have him in the team and we are convinced that he will soon give Juventus a lot of satisfaction».
