Juve ready to buy Bastian
Reports suggest that Juventus' directors have given the green light for an assault on Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The Old Lady are still looking for an heir to Czech legend Pavel Nedved, who will hang his boots up at the end of the season.
Despite links with a number of players, including Werder Bremen's Diego and Schalke star Ivan Rakitic, Juve seem to have found their man in Schweinsteiger.
The 24-year-old German international's contract at the Allianz Arena expires this summer and he has resisted all attempts to persuade him to extend his deal.
Schweinsteiger has admitted that he would love the chance to play for the Bianconeri and they will be free to negotiate with him from January.
According to Tuttosport, sporting director Alessio Secco has been given the go-ahead to propose a five-year deal worth around £3.5m per season.
While Juve would have to wait until the summer to complete a free transfer, there are suggestions that they may agree a deal with Bayern for a switch in January.
Such an agreement would allow the Germans to receive a fee for Schweinsteiger and would prevent the Old Lady having to wait for his services.
