Chievo Positive Ahead Of Juve Clash
New Chievo boss Domenico Di Carlo is demanding a change in attitude from his players, in the lead up to their match with Juventus this weekend.
Domenico Di Carlo has been in charge of Chievo Verona for just a week, and is eagerly anticipating his first match in charge against Juventus this weekend.
He was appointed following the sacking of former boss Giuseppe Iachini, which came after the Flying Donkeys suffered a 3-0 defeat away to Palermo last weekend.
Di Carlo’s team have been dreadful in recent times, as they have recorded just one point in their past six league matches, with that coming in a 1-1 draw at home against Atalanta.
The new boss has made it clear that there will be changes at the club, starting with a change in attitude and shape, with the club switching to a more traditional 4-4-2 formation.
This formation was used by the former Parma boss in a midweek friendly with the Chievo youth squad, in which his side emerged victorious by a 6-0 score line. The playing squad seemed to adapt nicely to the new formation, as opposed to their trip to Palermo the weekend prior.
The newly appointed coach will be able to count on the availability of Giampiero Pinzi and the much maligned Kerlon, for his side’s match against Juventus at home this weekend.
