Cobolli Gigli Tells Juventus Not To Lose Heart

Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has commented on this weekend's loss to Inter, congratulating his players on seven wins in a row.

Juventus lost by a goal to nil at the San Siro against current champions Internazionale in the derby D’Italia on Saturday night.

After a fiery first half at the San Siro it took a 72nd-minute goal from Sulley Muntari to decide the game in the home side's favour.

Jose Mourinho prevailed in the battle of two former Chelsea coaches against Claudio Ranieri and saw his side cement their place on top of the Serie A table.

The Bianconeri were unable to make their mark on the match as their seven-game winning run was ended in Milan. Inter are now six points clear of Juve.

The president said, "Before the game I said that we would win 2-1, I promise that from now on I will not dream about the games, or at least I will keep it to myself."

Cobolli Gigli added, "In the first half Inter played better than us, but in the second half we were doing better and then we conceded the goal in the strangest action. Anyway let us not lose heart.

"Our team has registered seven wins in a row and they deserve to be applauded."

Juventus take on Russian champions Zenit St Petersburg tomorrow night in the Champions League, and will need to pick themselves up after their weekend Serie A loss.
