Legrottaglie Savours Great Moment

Legrottaglie Savours Great Moment

Juventus centre-back Nicola Legrottaglie believes the Old Lady can keep the momentum going, thanks to their superb physical condition.

The Bianconeri trashed Genoa 4-1 last night at the Stadio Olimpico and are now level on points with Inter at the top of the standings.

It was the fifth straight win in Serie A for coach Claudio Ranieri’s men, who have turned a corner after a dire run of results in October.

“We have to enjoy our position in the table and hope we can carry on down this path, as we are in an excellent form, both physically and mentally,” the Italian international stated after the encounter.

However, Grifone ace Diego Milito was a constant thorn in the Turin giants’ side, netted from the penalty spot and also saw another goal incorrectly ruled out for offside during the first half.

“Milito is a wonderful player, he is experienced and has great technique,” continued the ex-Chievo stopper.

“Unfortunately, when the spot-kick was awarded ,the ball ricocheted in front of me and hit my arm.

“Nonetheless, I feel we put in a great performance in the second half and played much better than in the first period, when we were not compact and did not press them enough.”
