De Ceglie Close To Contract Renewal With Juventus

De Ceglie Close To Contract Renewal With Juventus

The Bianconeri leftback is close to renewing his contract with the club, according to the latest reports.

Paolo De Ceglie has been one of many shining lights for Juventus this season, as he has managed to make the most of the opportunities coach Claudio Ranieri has provided him with this term.

Having rejoined Juventus from Siena in the summer transfer period, the leftback has proved to be a revelation, as he has gone on to take part in most of the matches throughout the campaign.

As a result of his consistent performances and all round good form, the Bianconeri are keen to extend the contract of the 22-year-old, and according to Gazzetta.it, the player’s agent Carlo Pallavicino met with Juve's sporting director, Alessio Secco, earlier today.

According to the reports, the player’s contract is set to see him remain at the club until 2012, with an increase in his wages, rising from €100,000 to €450,000 per year, to ensure that he is at the same level as Claudio Marchisio.

De Ceglie’s side face Atalanta in Bergamo this week, and they will be looking to end the season on a high by claiming all three points.
