Juventus President Cobolli Gigli Dreams Of Inter Revenge

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli dreams of overtaking the Nerazzurri in the standings by the end of the season and he spoke about the situation using several interesting examples...

Just over a week ago, Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli saw his side fall 1-0 to Inter at the San Siro, courtesy of a goal from Sulley Muntari, allowing the Nerazzurri to open a six point gap over the Bianconeri in the standings.

Gigli is one of Italy's outspoken characters involved with football and on Monday revealed he dreams of overtaking Inter by matchday 38.

"I hope to be in a race for the Scudetto with Inter, but overtake them by season's end, like what happen in cycling," explained the 63-year-old.

"Inter is powerful like an aircraft carrier, but we are like a battleship and who knows what could happen as the league continues."

Juventus next challenge in their race for Serie A will be against Lecce at the Stadio Via Del Mare. They will be hoping for an Inter slip-up, as Jose Mourinho's men have a tough trip to the Stadio Olimpico to face Lazio.
