Potential Pasqual And Iaquinta Swap Deal On The Horizon

Potential Pasqual And Iaquinta Swap Deal On The Horizon

Recent rumours in Italy are suggesting that the Viola defender and the Bianconero striker could be swapping club colours in January.

Manuel Pasqual has been followed closely by numerous Italian sides since the beginning of the season, but no agreements were made, and it came as a surprise when the left back remained with the Viola for the start of the campaign.

The defender has been unsettled at the Tuscan club for quite some time and it is believed that he sees January as the moment to make his escape from Cesare Prandelli's squad.

Pasqual had inspired interest from a host of Serie A outfits, from Napoli to Reggina, and, most recently, Juventus. The bitter rivals of the Viola may be keen to swap their unsettled striker Vincenzo Iaquinta for the talented defender, with a move in the transfer window a likely option.

Firenzeviola.it spoke to Pasqual's agent Gastone Rizzato in an attempt to understand more about the player's destination. “First it is necessary to hear what Fiorentina wants to do with Manuel, and whether they want to keep him, or let him go,” said the agent.

Rizzato continued, “I spoke to the Tuscan club around 15 days ago and I can say with absolute certainty that a loan move is not an interesting idea for Fiorentina. They will let us know what they intend to do.”

Concerning a potential move to the Bianconeri Rizzato revealed, “I cannot confirm anything, I know nothing about this, to me they are only empty voices. Even in this case it is necessary to ask the club.”
