Juventus Turn To Revelation Nsereko - Reports

The Old Lady are pondering a move for the Brescia starlet after missing out on Bayern ace Schweinsteiger.

Juventus were hoping to capture Bastian Schweinsteiger on a free transfer next summer, as his contract with Bayern Munich is due to expire and the parties had been unable to reach an agreement over an extension.

However, it was reported yesterday that Schweini is poised to ink a new deal with Bavarian giants, shattering the Bianconeri’s dreams of what would have been an incredible coup.

And the corso Galileo Ferraris directors could now turn their attention to German midfielder Savio Nsereko.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 19-year-old Uganda native is considered to be one of the best candidates to succeed Czech star Pavel Nedved, who will call it a day at the end of the season.

Nsereko is currently plying his trade in the Italian Second Division and has already caught the eye of top European clubs, as his agent and Bresciani President Gino Corioni confirmed last month.

He is likely to command a fee in the region of €7 million, but Juve might face stiff competition from Napoli, who have a strong partnership with the Lombardy side.

The Partenopei have raided the Rondinelle over the past year, bringing in outstanding Marek Hamsik, Fabiano Santacroce and Daniele Mannini from the minnows.
