Mrs Amauri: I want him Italian
Mrs Amauri: I want him Italian
Thursday 30 October, 2008
Amauri’s wife Cynthia confessed she would rather see her husband playing for Italy than for his homeland Brazil.
The Juventus striker’s wife is also Brazilian but has been living in Italy for more than 10 years.
“Which national team should my husband play for? I’d prefer Italy to Brazil,” she told Sky Sport.
“I would like to become Italian too. We have to wait but they told me procedures are going well. I could have earnt my nationality long ago since my grandfather has Italian origins. If only I had known, it would have been so important now."
With his wife holding a new passport it would be easier for Amauri to earn Italian nationality.
The former Palermo ace has already admitted he would be delighted to receive a call from Marcello Lippi although at first the South American nation was his favourite option.
Amauri has been impressive for Juventus this season scoring five goals in nine games and is expected to start, alongside Alessandro Del Piero, on Saturday against Roma.

Ini kabar pemain2 Juventus :
De Ceglie: his condition will have to be verified day by day, but he should be back in the team in time for the Chievo match.
Grygera, Del Piero and Legrottaglie: all three will recover in time for the game against Roma. Grygera has gotten over the fatigue from the derby. Del Piero and Legrottaglie had no injuries and were rested just as a precaution.
Knezevic: this morning his left knee was swollen and it hurt. The player underwent ultrasound scans and will be out of action for a few days.
Marchisio: he should be available again in around fifteen days' time.
Poulsen: the muscle distraction he suffered, while not exceedingly serious, affects a delicate area, i.e. the thigh muscle intersection, so he will need to stay out until the away game at Chievo.
Salihamidzic: he has recovered rather well from his tendon problem. He could be available for the Madrid game or in Verona against Chievo at the latest.
Zanetti: he's been training normally with the squad from Monday, so it's a question of match fitness now.
Zebina: he's getting better. He suffered quite a serious injury to his left Achilles tendon, underwent therapies and has buckled down and worked hard. He is currently training separately from the squad. He will be missing two or three training sessions, because of the special therapy regimen he's following, after which he will need to rest for a few days. He may be able to take up training as normal and for good from Monday onwards.

Del Piero back against Roma
Del Piero back against Roma
Thursday 30 October, 2008
Alessandro Del Piero will be back to lead Juventus’ attack in Saturday’s big clash against Roma.
The Bianconeri captain was rested in the midweek round and according to Dr Riccardo Agricola he will be 100 per cent fit to face the Giallorossi.
Claudio Ranieri is also planning to have two other key players back in Zdenek Grygera and Nicola Legrottaglie.
Juventus’ injury list has grown incredibly long in recent weeks with more than 11 players unavailable, but now the situation is improving rapidly for the Old Lady.
Hasan Salihamidzic, Christian Poulsen and Paolo De Ceglie should be back against Chievo in Week 11. Dario Knezevic and Jonathan Zebina will not be called upon against Roma but will return to train with the team on Monday.
Cristiano Zanetti has fully recovered from his long-term injury but Ranieri wants to avoid any risks and will take his return slowly.
Juventus claimed three points from Bologna’s historically hostile Stadio Dall’Ara last night. Man of the match Pavel Nedved netted a brace while former Bianconero Marco Di Vaio scored Bologna’s consolation goal.
“It was a good result because there are players who I am using more than others at the moment and eventually they will have to rest,” said Ranieri.
Tiago Mendes made a positive return in midfield after a long while out and the Portuguese performance was surprisingly above expectations.
“I was impressed, he was excellent for more than 60 minutes,” noted Ranieri. “Perhaps this year he doesn’t feel the pressure so much and this may help him.”

Nedved Close To Juve Extension?
Nedved Close To Juve Extension?
Juventus' hero in last night's match, Pavel Nedved, looks set to sign a contract renewal with the Bianconeri.
Juventus traveled to Bologna anticipating a tough encounter and that's exactly what they got. The hosts did well and were close to salvaging a point in the final stages of the game, but veteran midfield maestro Pavel Nedved was on hand to score a brace for the visitors and win them the game.
A goal in each half from the Czech midfielder could not be cancelled out by what would prove a mere consolation goal from Marco Di Vaio, allowing Juventus a deserved 2-1 win over Bologna at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium. The win puts the hosts' coach under increasing pressure after yet another loss, whilst alleviating some from the tired shoulders of Juve boss Claudio Ranieri.
Reports are now suggesting that 36-year-old midfielder Nedved is about to extend his contract with the Turin club. The star had previously expressed his will to conclude his career at the end of the current season, but impressive performances so far in the early stages of this campaign may convince him to put pen to paper on another one year extension.

We Have To Beat Roma To Rise Further - Chiellini
Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini admits the way forward from now on is to keep on winning games starting from Roma this weekend and he has hailed Pavel Nedved following the midfielder's excellent showing against Bologna on Wednesday night...
The Bianconeri had no trouble in taking maximum points against a struggling Bologna side who hardly threatened all night.
The game ended 2-1 for the Old Lady thanks to Nedved's brace. Marco Di Vaio pulled one back for the Emiliani but it was not enough.
Chiellini is now looking ahead to the next game against Roma and he believes it's onwards and upwards for his team.
"We could have closed that game earlier but we ran a few risks too," Chiellini told Tuttosport.
"We were always in control of the situation and we should have won 2-0 but we are used to suffering. Bologna even had the chances to equalize but we should have allowed them to score.
"Nedved? Let's extend his contract for another year and I will back this as well. He is a leader and he dragged us to victory in a difficult moment.
"Tiago? We are happy he played a good game and we hope he can continue like that. He may even get people to change their opinions on him too."
Chiellini also had a few words on Juve's next game on Saturday night when the Old Lady welcomes a wounded Roma side to Turin, in a what is being billed as a crunch match.
"Saturday there is Juve - Roma and we want to win beacuse that will launch us right up there in terms of chasing the leading pack," added the stopper.
"We dropped many points against Napoli and Palermo but we have reacted to this."
The Bianconeri are now just five points off the league leaders and they will be hoping to close the gap even further against I Lupi.

Juventus plan Modric swoop
Juventus plan Modric swoop
Thursday 30 October, 2008
Reports in Italy suggest Juventus are putting together a bid for Tottenham and Croatia trequartista Luka Modric.
The 23-year-old has endured a difficult start to life in North London since moving from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer, although he is not rumoured to be looking for a move.
The diminutive youngster was frequently played out of position by Juande Ramos, but has been returned to his preferred role behind the striker by Harry Redknapp.
The consensus is that Juventus will take Modric on loan in January with a view to a permanent transfer next summer.
Juventus have been linked with several renowned playmakers over the last year, most notably Bayern Munich's Bastian Schweinsteiger, Olympiakos' Luciano Galletti and Werder Bremen's Diego.
Diego's father, who is also his agent, was reportedly in Turin yesterday, but Juventus managing director Jean-Claude Blanc denied that any talks had taken place.

Ranieri: We Are Yet To Overcome Our Crisis
Ranieri: We Are Yet To Overcome Our Crisis
Despite another convincing performance against Bologna last night, Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri believes that the club’s crisis has not yet passed.
Juventus made it three successive victories in all competitions last night, following their 2-1 triumph at the Renato Dall’Ara in Bologna. A brace to Pavel Nedved was enough for the Bianconeri, who moved up to 9th spot in the standings.
The Old Lady are now just 5 points off the pace set by the league leaders Udinese and Napoli, and are looking a different side to the one in which failed to win in five matches a few weeks ago.
Coach Claudio Ranieri however, remains adamant that despite the club’s recent good run of form, they are yet to overcome their crisis.
“We were struggling for quite some time, and so two or three good performances will not make up for all of this,” he said.
“We need to continue this good run of form, before we can officially declare that the crisis has passed,” the coach added.
“We certainly are improving in each match, and we are therefore well on track to overcome the crisis,” concluded Ranieri.
The boss had some final words for the hero of last night’s match, Pavel Nedved, by saying that, “I would like him to sign a new contract soon. Perhaps even one for two more years,” he jokingly added.
Juve host Roma this weekend at the Olimpico in Torino, before a crunch clash in the Champions League against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

Nedved the star again in Bologna
Nedved the star again in Bologna
There's a special connection between Nedved and the Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna. Indeed it was here that the Czech superstar made his Serie A debut back in 1996. He played for Lazio at the time and was 24 years old. Now, at 36, Pavel is still a star and achieved another remarkable feat in Emilia tonight. Two great goals, after the one he scored at Fiorentina, and this time they were decisive for the three points.
This win allows Juve to continue their positive run after the wins against Real Madrid and Torino and to put their bad spell behind them for good, just when Ranieri's team had reached a record number of injuries: «There was never any crisis – Nedved remarked after the game -, it's normal to lose sometimes. The important thing is to never give up. Tonight we won a match that we all knew was going to be tough and that's why we're very happy».

Ranieri: «We played a good match and showed our will to win»
Claudio Ranieri is pleased with the win and with the performance of his team and this is how he praised them after the game: «We played well and showed our will to win, we were tight and suffered only in the last 10 minutes of the match. We conceded Bologna's goal on a one-off chance, we would've deserved to win 2-0».
Ranieri has good reason to be pleased: «The thing I appreciated the most is that all the players, despite me having to change line-ups a lot, have understood the movements they must make and that they need to remain tight».
Praise for all the team, then, but a special mention for the man of the match, Pavel Nedved, and for Tiago, back from injury: «Nedved is stunning, the best thing is that he's having a great time, he knows he's important in our project. I liked Tiago tonight. He played after only one proper training session with the squad and he did so very well»

Cobolli: «We suffered but we're happy»
At the end of the game at the Dall’Ara, this is how Chairman Giovanni Cobolli Gigli commented the team's win: «We're getting some very complicated results lately. There was suffering tonight but we're happy now. Nedved was the man of the match; I thought Mellberg and Ekdal played particularly well too».
Concerning the way the match went: «We could've closed the deal 3-0 because Bologna didn't do anything extraordinary. Tiago? He played well, he's one more classy player in our team, he's always useful and particularly so in periods such as these».
A message for the future: «We keep going humbly. I would like to point out that, as we're chasing Inter Milan too, we've recovered 4 points on them in the last two games»

Juventus
Manninger -7.0: Was a spectator in the first half but it was a different story in the second. He couldn't help prevent Di Vaio's goal but he made a number of fine saves from Marazzina as well as the former Juventus man throughout the second half. His last minute stop on Di Vaio was superb.
Mellberg -6.5: Excellent on the night and mopped up well. Did all the dirty work and his challenges were timed to perfection A solid display by the former Aston Villa man.
Knezevic -6.5: Another player who was classy at the back. His last minute challenge on Di Vaio was outstanding as he blocked a shot which looked like it would have gone in. Did will all game and he was always comfortable.
Chiellini -6.0: The Italian international put on another good showing for his side as he keeps his consistency levels up there. Made some good tackles throughout the game and he was always first to the ball when called into action.
Molinaro -5.5: The left-back was shaky all game and he could have cost his side maximum points on a number of occasions. Not one of his best games as he continues to struggle. It's little wonder all of Bologna's attacks came through the area Molinaro was meant to be in charge of.
Marchionni -6.5: The winger enjoyed a good game. He kept on being influential down the right wing for his side and he hardly made a mistake. He could and should have scored too and was unlucky not to.
Sissoko -6.5: The big Mali international keeps on getting better with every match he plays. He was really good up until he was replaced for picking up a minor knock.
Tiago -6.0: The Portuguese midfielder got his chance to shine as a result of a number of injuries affecting the team but he didn't do anything to prove to his coach he warrants a place in the starting team. He looked without confidence and he lacked a bright spark. He should have done more to make an impact.
Nedved -8.5: The Czech midfielder fired his side to maximum points with a typical Nedved performance as he rolled back the years and grabbed a brace for his efforts. Led the team by example with the absence of Del Piero and he did a great job. The perfect game from the veteran.
Amauri -6.0: The Brazilian hit the post in the second half and that was about it. He looked slow on the night and he found it difficult playing alongside Iaquinta. He missed some great chances too. Not his best performance at all.
Iaquinta -6.5: Credit to the former Udinese man for working his socks off and always putting the pressure on the Rossoblu. He hustled and fought hard for his side and came within whiskers of scoring. A good showing overall.

Ranieri sees the light
Ranieri sees the light
Wednesday 29 October, 2008
Juventus are slowly finding their feet again, assures Claudio Ranieri after a third straight win in all competition.
“The important thing right now is to get on the right track so we can start climbing back up that hill.”
The 2-1 victory away to Bologna was secured by a Pavel Nedved brace – the second taking a decisive deflection off a defender.
It was their third win on the trot after Real Madrid and Torino, achieved despite an injury list that includes Gigi Buffon, Alessandro Del Piero, David Trezeguet, Christian Poulsen, Hasan Salihamidzic, Cristiano Zanetti, Paolo De Ceglie and Claudio Marchisio.
“Of course we have some problems, as the injuries are not letting up and with a game every three days several top players run the risk of missing up to six matches, even if it is a minor fitness issue,” said the tactician.
“However, the lads who are replacing them are proving themselves up to the task and confirm that when Juventus make a move on the transfer market, it is always a carefully weighted decision.”
Amauri has played in every match this season in all competition and seemed tired at the Dall’Ara.
“I am undoubtedly squeezing the juice out of some players, but over the course of the season hope to allow them some rest time too.”

Cobolli believes in Juve Scudetto
Cobolli believes in Juve Scudetto
Tuesday 28 October, 2008
Despite Juventus’ stuttering start to the season, President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli still believes they can win the Scudetto.
“This is not the moment to make plans, but to get back into a position where we can focus on the Scudetto again,” said the chief.
“All is not lost, we are coming off a good week and the tournament has levelled out thanks to the many outsiders getting results.”
The Bianconeri have narrowed the gap from the Serie A leaders to five points despite an epic injury crisis.
It is their first real title push since their demotion in the Calciopoli scandal in 2006 and this evening the club went over the accounts in a shareholders’ meeting.
The last year has seen Juventus run at a loss of over £16m, but they consider that to be very nearly a success.
“Juve are close to breaking even, which is good considering before going into Serie B the club lost on average between £22m and £32m,” explained general manager Jean Claude Blanc.
“The path we have taken is to improve sporting results by focusing on youngsters and containing costs. This is the only approach we can take.
“If Jorge Andrade’s injury had not knocked £5.5m off his valuation, the situation would have been even better. Considering we were not in the Champions League, it is a good result.”
The Old Lady is also set to start work on building a new stadium and announced the demolition of the Delle Alpi will begin in three weeks.
The new arena should be ready in May 2011, getting rid of the unpopular athletics track and reducing capacity to 40,600.

Bianconeri Zoom In On Diego - Report
Bianconeri Zoom In On Diego - Report
Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport reports that Juventus are still following Werder Bremen ace Diego closely, and the club executives will reportedly meet with his agent this morning.
The whispers linking the Brazilian star to the Corso Galileo Ferraris outfit started last January, when sporting director Alessio Secco apparently flew several times to Germany to have talks with the Bremen side.
Even though a concrete bid never materialized, the rumour mill set off again this summer when a host of top European teams, including the Old Lady and Spanish club Atletico Madrid were said to be in the frame to secure Diego's services.
However, Werder scared off all his suitors by slapping a whopping €30m price-tag on the 23-year-old.
But the Juventini seem to be still keen on the talented Brazilian and Tuttosport reports today that his father and agent Djair da Cunha, along with a number of lawyers for the Berlin company Creative Talent, will have a meeting with Juventus executives this morning at the Juve headquarters in Corso Galileo Ferraris.
The Creative Talent group represents several footballers, including Lucio and Edinho Ferreira, but the Turin giants are particularly eager to discuss Diego's future and could launch a bid next summer.
The Brazilian also has an Italian passport, hence he could be registered as a non-EU player.

Juve On Xavi's Trail - Report
Juve On Xavi's Trail - Report
According to Sportmediaset, Juventus are already in the process of planning next summer's transfer campaign, and Barcelona ace Xavi could become one of their primary targets.
The Bianconeri have enjoyed a much-needed revival last week, defeating Spanish champions Real Madrid and edging out local rivals Torino in the grudge Derby della Mole.
Coach Claudio Ranieri's men have had a difficult start to the season and had suffered two consecutive losses in Serie A prior to last week's triumphs. But the early stages of the campaign have clearly showed that, aside from Brazilian hitman Amauri, the Corso Galileo Ferraris have once again missed the mark in this summer's transfer session.
The decision to end their pursue of Liverpool's talented midfield man Xabi Alonso has come back to haunt them, as Danish international Christian Poulsen, who is now on the sidelines, has failed to shine so far and, due to the protracted absence of Cristiano Zanetti, Juventus clearly lack a gret deal of quality in the middle of the park.
It is likely that the club directors will look for stopgap solutions in January, but the big name on their summer's shopping list seems to be that of Spanish midfield star Xavi.
The 28-year-old's contract runs out in June 2010 and he allegedly earns €3.5m per season, with his agent apparently willing to get a consistent increase in his wages from Barca.
Xavi has been capped 68 times by Spain, netting 9 goals, and he also made the Ballon d'Or 30-name shortlist earlier this month.

Ranieri keeps concentration level high
Ranieri keeps concentration level high
«I want you to always be concentrated…!» This is how Ranieri spurred on the group during this morning's training session, the penultimate one before Wednesday's midweek game at Bologna. The cure which began with Real Madrid and continued with the derby isn't over yet. Attention must be kept high, until the injury emergency lasts. The last three players in chronological order to pick up injuries, i.e. Grygera, Salihamidzic and De Ceglie, underwent physiotherapy this morning. The Val d'Aosta-native will take a little longer to recover (15 days), whereas the Czech defender and the Bosnian midfielder could already be available again in time for next Saturday's match against Roma, as could Poulsen and Tiago.
There's also good news regarding Camoranesi and Zanetti, who worked the full session today, including the training match against the Youth Team. Ranieri will decide tomorrow whether to add Camoranesi to the squad already for the Bologna game, while Zanetti has a chance to be back in time for the away game against Real Madrid in the Champions League. Tomorrow the last pre-match training session, after the Manager's press conference, shown live on Juventus Channel at 2 pm.

Camoranesi Set To Return
The Bianconeri seem to have finally overcome their crisis on the field. The news off it is also beginning to improve, with Mauro Camoranesi nearing a return.
Following an inconsistent start to the campaign, which included a poor run of form and several key injuries, the Bianconeri seemed destined to have a poor season ahead.
This has all changed in the past week however, following two comprehensive victories over Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League, and over Torino in the Derby della Mole last weekend in the Serie A.
Their form on the field has drastically improved, as is the case for the news off the field, with midfielder Mauro Camoranesi all but certain to return against Bologna this week.
It’s a huge boost for Coach Claudio Ranieri, who will be able to further strengthen his midfield, an area that his side has been struggling in a little recently.
Unfortunately however, Hasan Salihamidzic, Zdenek Grygera and Paolo De Ceglie are all certain to miss through injury, whilst Alessandro Del Piero and Amauri, may be rested, meaning that Vincenzo Iaquinta and Sebastian Giovinco will play from the start.
Juve are currently in 10th spot, just five points off the pace set by league leaders Udinese, and so they will be desperate to win on their travels to Bologna this week.

Nedved: Juve have given me it all
Nedved: Juve have given me it all
(FIFA.com) Monday 27 October 2008
Having first arrived from Sparta Prague back in 1996, Pavel Nedved has graced the Italian game with distinction for 12 years. In five seasons at Lazio, he disputed 137 Serie A and 45 European matches, including 23 in the UEFA Champions League, and since making his way to Juventus in 2001 he has represented the Bianconeri 190 times in the domestic top flight and 50 times in Europe's leading club competition.
Before announcing his international retirement in 2006, the 36-year-old Cheb native made 91 appearances for Czech Republic. Catching up with him for an exclusive interview at Juve's training centre in Vinovo, FIFA.com found the attacking midfielder in relaxed mood, keen to speak openly about his past, present and dreams for the future.
FIFA.com: Pavel, why did you opt for another season at Juventus?
Pavel Nedved: After two years away, to play in the Champions League again was really tempting. Added to that, the generation coming through, led by Sebastian Giovinco and Claudio Marchisio, are getting their first taste of the Champions League. It's never easy to get started at this level because the rhythm never lets up, with two games a week and top-quality opposition. The club offered me an extension so I could help them out with my experience. The challenge attracted me.
This is your eighth season in Turin. What has been your favourite memory so far?
The 2002/03 season was the most complete, with us winning the scudetto and reaching the Champions League final. The semi-final against Real Madrid will remain a great memory, as much due to the prestige of our opponents and the intensity surrounding the game as to the great football we played.
There have also been harder times. How well did you cope with relegation into Serie B?
That was very tough. After everything the club had made possible for me, I felt I owed them. Because of that, staying was a completely natural choice. We've been rewarded for those two years of work with our promotion to Serie A and return to the Champions League.
What exactly do you feel Juventus have done for you? And what have you done for them?
Juventus have given me everything. I acquired my winning mentality here; the one which makes you say every game is a battle. I've learnt to be demanding with myself and how to meet difficulties and overcome them. As for myself, I've given them all my time and I've put myself at the service of the team. I hope I'll leave them with something positive.
Before La Vecchia Signora, you played for Lazio. What do you remember about those years in the capital?
So far, I haven't regretted any of my career choices. My five years at Lazio will always be full of very good memories. I discovered a new country, learnt a new language, spent time with very good coaches and won a scudetto, a European Cup Winners' Cup and domestic cups. What more could I have asked for?
Have you never been tempted to play in another foreign country?
That's been a personal choice, after listening to my family. Whether we've been in Rome or Turin, we've always enjoyed it. I have strong attachments here and my children were born here. Why should I leave? But it's true that the English championship attracted me for a while. I've been a fervent supporter of Manchester United ever since I was born.
Do you have any regrets about retiring from the international game?
At 34, and having disputed three European Championships and a World Cup, it was completely normal to let the younger generation take over. As big as my desire was to stay, the youngsters need to play games at the highest level to harden themselves.
How do you see the future unfolding for Czech Republic?
The national team is in a transitional period. The older players are gradually withdrawing and the youngsters, including the finalists in the last Under-20 World Cup, lack experience. That's why Milan Baros, Marek Jankulovski, Zdenek Grygera and Tomas Ujfalusi have an important role to play in helping them integrate. Three or four years from now, we'll be competitive at the very highest level again. Despite that, I think we'll qualify for the next World Cup.
Are you planning to retire at the end of the season?
At my age, I live from day to day and I don't know exactly when I'll stop. Juve have plans for me but nothing's decided yet. One thing's for sure: I'll be starting a whole new life from scratch. I'll have to learn everything and, after making my living as a footballer for 20 years, that's not going to be easy.
Have you considered coaching, with Juventus or the Czech national team, for example?
You don't become a coach overnight, with no experience. Progress happens step by step. One of the best apprenticeships is still to start coaching youngsters and gradually rise through the ranks. If, in the future, I'm asked to coach one of those teams, it will be mean I've been a success. But the road is still long, especially since Juventus are not an easy club to manage. There's constant pressure, a must-win mentality, lots of work in the background and only the great coaches succeed.
Of course, you have crossed paths with some of those greats. Which coaches have had the biggest influence on your career?
Dino Zoff, Sven-Goran Eriksson, Claudio Ranieri, Didier Deschamps - I could almost say all of them. But the one who brought me a little bit more than the rest is without doubt Marcello Lippi, because he positioned me behind the forwards and gave me more freedom on the pitch.
Lastly, do you feel differently playing these days from how you did when you were starting out? And who can you see taking over as your successor?
There's no difference. Whether 20 or 36, I've always felt the same amount of pleasure from playing. Sharing emotions with a squad, enjoying myself and winning trophies are my leitmotiv. It's just harder physically to keep up with the rhythm of a game every three days. As for my successor, it's a tough question. I'd go for my son, provided he plays football (laughs).

Amauri: Juve Are My Nazionale
Amauri: Juve Are My Nazionale
Brazilian hitman Amauri netted a fabulous goal in the Derby against Torino last Saturday and claims he is unconcerned by the rumours about his international future, as Juventus feel already like a national side.
The former Palermo marksman has yet to receive a call-up from either his home country or Italy and is currently in a sort of limbo.
While the process to acquire Italian citizenship is not completed yet and therefore he is not technically eligible for the Azzurri, he could well be capped by Brazil boss Carlos Dunga, as the striker has stated several times that his native country is his first choice.
But yesterday Dunga confessed that Amauri is not part of his current plans, as Adriano and Luis Fabiano are ahead of him in the Selecao pecking order, even though he is monitoring the marksman's progress very closely.
However, Amauri seems totally unfazed and is certainly not losing any sleep over it: "I feel that Juve are my only national side at the moment," he revealed, according to Datasport.it.
The 28-year-old has bagged three goals in the last three Bianconeri outings and has already five to his name in the top flight so far.
"Scoring a goal in the Derby was marvelous, as it is such a special match" enthused Amauri, "much of the credit goes to Pavel Nedved who made a great assist, but I was also a bit fortunate with my shot.
"Either way, the important thing is I hit the back of the net and my goal helped us win the game. I am going through a great moment, but we need to keep going now.
"After defeating Real Madrid and Toro, I can safely say Juve are not afraid of anyone."

Nedved: Juve 'Truly Love' Ranieri
Nedved: Juve 'Truly Love' Ranieri
After a sluggish spell, Juventus have finally returned to winning ways and Czech star Pavel Nedved explains why he gave coach Claudio Ranieri a big hug after the final whistle.
The Bianconeri were coming off a terrible run of results, including two consecutive defeats in Serie A against Palermo and Napoli and failure to register a victory since the 1-0 at Cagliari on September 21.
However, an impressive performance against Spanish champions Real Madrid in the Champions League in midweek and the Derby success over arch-rivals Torino have eased the pressure on the embattled ex-Chelsea boss.
"That hug was significant," Nedved told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "I ran toward him in order to answer all that was alleged over the past few weeks.
"We badly wanted this win for our fans and also ourselves, but most of all we wanted it for him, as he always supported us. We truly love him."
A fantastic solo effort by Brazilian hitman Amauri soon after the restart proved enough to edge out the Granata at the Stadio Olimpico, but the Old Lady continue to be plagued by injuries as Zdenek Grygera and Hasan Salihamidžic both picked up muscular problems.
"I asked to be replaced at half time, for I felt pain in my knee following Aimo Diana's foul," admitted the 36-year-old.
"However, Grygera and Salihamidžic were both injured, hence I was forced to hang on. But now I am even more eager to play in Bologna next Wednesday."

Chiellini Eyes Bologna Win
Chiellini Eyes Bologna Win
Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini is looking forward to the mid-week game against Bologna on Wednesday night and he is hoping his side continue moving onwards and upwards...
The stopper was outstanding during the 1-0 derby win over Torino which saw him reach a milestone with the Old Lady as it was his 100th appearance.
Chiellini is hoping he can continue to play well as his side begin to climb out from their recent woes.
"It's always nice to reach such an important milestone especially when it comes in the derby win against Torino," Chiellini told the club's official website.
"One hundred games are plenty but it's a starting point for me.
"I am satisfied with the way things are going and now we have to look ahead to the game against Bologna, we are now focussed on this.
"The two wins against Real Madrid and Torino were important as we silenced the critics but now we have to continue bringing points home and move up the table."
Juventus are five points off the pace as they prepare for the crucial match against the Emiliani later this week.
Chiellini was influential in the derby and he will be hoping to continue his good form.

Four Fans Arrested In Turin Derby
Four Fans Arrested In Turin Derby
Juventus edged out Torino in the Derby della Mole last night, but fan trouble marred the encounter as four supporters were apprehended before and during the game.
The Bianconeri deservedly claimed the Turin bragging rights, as Brazilian hitman Amauri's solo effort was enough to separate the sides at the Stadio Olimpico and further increase the pressure on Granata's boss Gianni De Biasi.
But it has been revealed that rival sets of fans clashed prior to the game and the police were called in to help an Old Lady supporter who had been ambushed by a group of Torinisti.
According to Italian news agency Ansa, a Juve fan was arrested because he was found carrying a knife, whereas two Granata supporters were charged with using or threatening to use force against police officers and also resisting the arrest.
Another Toro fan was apprehended in the Curva Nord during the match, after he had torn off a seat and was preparing to hurl it toward the adjacent Bianconeri stand. The episode occured in the second half, soon after Amauri had given Juve the lead.
Moreover, a Juve fan fell down from the second tier of the Olimpico after the final whistle. He allegedly went overboard celebrating the triumph and accidentally tumbled down from the Curva Scirea. He was immediately driven to hospital and his condition is reportedly not serious.

Ranieri: «Everybody must take credit for this win»
We can really say it now: the bad patch is officially over. After a lot of talk, Juventus replied with facts and in the space of four days twice gave their fans immense joy, first with the win over Real Madrid, then in the derby game. These two wins showed everybody the true face of the team again, a team that never gives up in front of adversity.
At the end of the match, Claudio Ranieri looked relaxed as he commented the derby win, his second after the one last year. «It's normal to suffer when there are so many great players missing. Today we did very well in attacking them, especially in the first half. After that, fatigue from Tuesday set in and we played a little less well in the second half. These two wins are the fruits of our labour, we worked hard in these few days we had to prepare and everyone must take credit: the team, the Club and the fans. We all stayed close, united together regardless of the situation and we came through it together. But we can't stop now after these two wins».

Legrottaglie: «These kinds of wins give you confidence»
One of the problems Claudio Ranieri has had to face recently is definitely the one concerning injuries. Match after match, someone gets injured and tonight against Torino too, there were problems for Salihamidzic and De Ceglie. But as some players go out, others come back on the team: like Legrottaglie, for instance. The central defender's return has been vital in the two wins Juve got in four days.
The defender pointed out precisely this aspect after the game: «When you lose all those players, it's tough; you can't do without important ones like Buffon and Camoranesi for a long time. These two wins boost our morale and give us great confidence in our strength. The fact we suffered tonight? Last year we won many games like this, fighting up to the last second».

Amauri: «Scoring in the derby is fantastic»
Two goals in four days: Amauri put his mark on Juventus' wins again and after getting the second against Real Madrid, the Brazilian repeated himself in the most eagerly awaited of matches. In his first-ever Turin derby, he imitated Trezeguet's achievement one year ago, with a great goal and a celebratory run under the Scirea sector.
Amauri is more and more one of the stars of the team and after the game he dedicated his goal to a special person in his life. «Scoring the winner in my first-ever derby is something fantastic, I dedicate it to my wife. This is a wonderful week for us and we've managed to get through the bad patch. We mustn't let go now, with this mentality and willpower we can still reach our goal, i.e. the Scudetto».

Buffon: Real were chicken soup
Buffon: Real were chicken soup
Gianluigi Buffon does not believe Juventus have been ‘cured’ by the win over Real Madrid. “It was just some great chicken soup.” “Are we cured? No, I think we’re still not back to our best, although that was some great chicken soup,” grinned the goalkeeper.
The Bianconeri were in a deep crisis with a series of dismal results in Serie A and the Champions League – including back-to-back defeats against Palermo and Napoli – before Tuesday’s 2-1 triumph. Buffon missed that game and will be out for at least another month with a thigh strain. He is set to sit on the sidelines and watch his Juventus teammates take on Turin in the Derby della Mole on Saturday evening.
“Considering the difficult time we are going through, I would love to get out there on the field, but nothing will change for us or our opponents if the second choice goalkeeper is playing.” Alex Manninger has impressed in Buffon’s absence, but Torino are also missing the injured Matteo Sereni.

Blanc Shows Ranieri The Fist Of Faith
Blanc Shows Ranieri The Fist Of Faith
Juventus chief executive Jean Claude Blanc insists there will be no changes of management at the club and he believes the team can still fight to succeed with their Scudetto and Champions League objectives...
The Old Lady seems to have refound her feet following the 2-1 win against Real Madrid in mid-week.
However, the critics are still armed and ready to fire at the next sign of abject form in Serie A.
The big Turin derby is up next for Juve but Blanc has revealed the club will carry on as it is and there is no chance of anyone risking their job whatever the outcome on Saturday.
"Trust is based on victories therefore positive results help. We will not be making and changes to the way we work," Blanc told La Stampa.
"Nobody is in question and there is no risk. I believe in the team and in its work. We have to keep working together when things go right and even more so when they go wrong.
"We are making a critical analysis but I am not the only one working to find a solution.
"We always have to find ways of improving and we should never be satisfied with what we have we should always aim for higher."
The chief then spoke about coach Claudio Ranieri who has been used as a scapegoat for all of the club's underachievement thus far.
"Ranieri has a contract with us this year and next year too. Our decision is to carry on as we are," added the chief.
"We will carry on with him and his staff for this season and next until the end of his contract.
"We want to do better than last year and these first eight weeks have not changed my opinion."
The Bianconeri have been struggling in Serie A but they are in firm command of their Champions League group.
The emphasis has been on that competition and this has been reflected in the league.

Ranieri: «We dedicate this derby to the fans»
Ranieri: «We dedicate this derby to the fans»
«Camoranesi is recovering, but we can't rush things, seeing as he's still not 100% fit. I hope I can have him back against Bologna or the match after that». All hopes of having Camoranesi on the team for the derby game have vanished and Ranieri will now need to invent something in midfield for the game against Torino. There are different options: «I need to think everything through. Tomorrow I'll try to understand what could be the best solution. De Ceglie playing wide in midfield? Any option can work; it depends on where I play Nedved. I'll have to consider if I can play a 19-year old like Ekdal, who would be almost making his debut in such an important game or whether to play Pavel in the middle, or someone else still».
The Bianconeri reach this game after the intense one against Real Madrid. A match where the Bianconeri spent lots of energy, but that also boosted their morale: «Toro's players have had more time than us to prepare this game, they've been able to train, rest, and mentally recharge. We've only been focusing on the derby game from after the end of the clash against Real. We expended a lot of physical and nervous energy, but that match gave us crucial drive. And besides, the derby is a one-off match, different from all the others. It's a game where you give 110%, it doesn't matter what the current League standings are, who's doing well and who isn't. What counts is what you have to offer and your willingness to sacrifice. We have to play a great match and dedicate it to our wonderful fans».
The win against Real Madrid allowed Juve to leave the difficult period behind them: «Things aren't going as well this year, but maybe this is changing now. We can make this change happen, but only if we hold on when there are problems». The Club, through statements made by Chairman Cobolli Gigli and Managing Director Jean-Claude Blanc, confirmed their faith in the Manager up to the end of his contract: «I've always felt both the Club and the players were on my side. The Club officials have done the right thing saying these things publicly and now maybe for a few weeks the press won't be writing anything. On the other hand, all Managers in Italy go through some rough patches. Lippi and Capello have gone through some here at Juve too. In truth, we've gotten nine points with the same teams as last year. The only difference is that last year we'd beat Palermo and lost to Udinese and this year it was the other way round. In any case I want to do better and go as far as possible in the Champions League».

Ranieri Takes Blame For Camoranesi Injury
Ranieri Takes Blame For Camoranesi Injury
Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri admitted that it was his fault that influential midfielder Mauro German Camoranesi picked up an injury as he played him without the player being fully fit yet.
The Bianconeri will be facing a delicate clash on Saturday as they play against rivals Torino in the Derby della Molle in Turin.
Ranieri spoke about the current injured players and in particular Camoranesi who has had an unlucky season so far, and the coach admitted that he was mainly to blame for his recent injury.
"There were various types of injuries," explained the former Parma coach. "Some in their tendons, others to their knees and only three on their quadriceps: Tiago, Iaquinta and Marchionni.
"Zanetti had problems in that area, but due to the big knock he received at Hamburg, therefore it's a different cause.
"I take the responsibility for Camoranesi's injury, because he was not fine and I still put him on the pitch.
"He does not know how to say no and I to try to win the game, I lost both the match and him."

Camoranesi Misses Out On The Derby
Camoranesi Misses Out On The Derby
Juventus and Italy midfielder Mauro Camoranesi was looking likely to return from injury for this weekend's Turin derby against city rivals Torino, but coach Claudio Ranieri has decided to rest him for another week.
Juventus have suffered somewhat of an injury crisis of late, with top players like David Trezeguet, Gianliugi Buffon and Mauro Camoranesi all falling victim to physical problems.
This weekend the Bianconeri take on their city rivals Torino, and coach Claudio Ranieri was hoping one of his star midfielders would be able to play some part in the derby.
The Turin derby between Juventus and cross-town rivals Torino is one of Italy's most bitter rivalries, and this year will be no different. Juve are suffering with a number of injuries at the moment, but Torino also have their fair share of injured players, with goalkeeper Matteo Sereni the latest victim with an ankle problem keeping him out of this weekend's match.
Although the Bianconeri lead their Champions League group, they are way off the pace in Serie A and a much needed win against the Granata will be the key to help the club rise back on its feet. A man who could have helped the 'Old Lady' to achieve the win is Camoranesi.
Yesterday good news from the training ground suggested that the Italian international may have been able to play even a small part in the game, as the midfielder carried out practically the whole workload yesterday along with his team mates, only missing the last few minutes.
However, Ranieri did not pick the skillful attacking player for the derby and he is expected to return to full training during the course of next week, after missing this weekend's game.

Ranieri Demands Derby Win
Ranieri Demands Derby Win
Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri is looking ahead to the big Derby Della Mole against bitter city rivals Torino on Saturday but he is keeping his formation secret...
The Bianconeri are full of confidence heading into the game following their win against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Ranieri has warned that Torino will be different to the game in Europe but he is hoping his side pull out another good performance against the relegation strugglers.
"Torino have been able to train well and rest. We on the other hand have only just been able to think about this game after the Real clash," said Ranieri during the Friday afternoon press conference.
"We have spent plenty in terms of physical work rate this week but the win against Real Madrid has given us the extra motivation and determination.
"The Derby is a special game in unique ways and we need to make sure we give our fans a great showing of football. We hope the atmosphere here is changing."
The coach then had a few words on his formation but he is giving nothing away. Ranieri is expected to tinker given the injuries which have ripped through his side.
"I will choose the team during tomorrow's training session and I will evaluate the situation and see what is the right formula," added the coach.
"It all depends on where I play [Pave] Nedved. Everything is possible. In these last few days we have tried to recover from the mid-week game. Camoranesi? He is still recovering. I hope to have him back for the game against Bologna."
La Vecchia Signora has been struggling in Serie A and a much needed win will go down well at Vinovo.
Any further slip ups could see their Scudetto ambitions fade away as Juve are already seven points behind league leaders Inter.

Cobolli Promises January Signings
Cobolli Promises January Signings
Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli confirms Claudio Ranieri, snubs Roberto Mancini's rumours and vows the Old Lady have the resources to storm the Calciomercato in January.
The Bianconeri have somewhat eased the pressure on Ranieri, after bringing to an end a terrible run of results with a morale-boosting win over Real Madrid in the Champions League last Tuesday.
The European triumph put the Corso Galileo Ferraris outfit in the driving seat to qualify for the knock-out stage of the competition, but the early rounds of the domestic season have showed they still lack that extra bit of quality, particularly in the middle of the park, that would enable them to mount a serious Scudetto challenge.
"I have already stated that we have the finances to bring in some new faces next January," Cobolli told the Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We did so last winter when we purchased Mohamed Sissoko. However, we first want to see what happens over the next few months.
"Several important players are recovering from injury lay-offs: Cristiano Zanetti is a pillar in midfield and Jonathan Zebina is a great centre-back who can always make a difference."
Fans and pundits alike have blasted the club's decision to pursue Danish international Christian Poulsen this summer, when a swoop for Liverpool's talented midfield man Xabi Alonso seemed on the cards, but Gigli restates that they have no regrets over the move.
"We would do the same thing now," he said, "as we feel he can contribute to our project and I believe he will soon prove what a great player he is."
Ranieri was starting to feel the heat after a second defeat on the trot at Napoli, but the directors and even John Elkann have restated their faith in the ex-Chelsea boss.
"His position at the club was never in question," insisted the Bianconeri president.
"We are very grateful to him for what he is doing and even more so for what he will be doing in the future. We all picked him as a manager and he is staying put."
Over the past few days, the Italian press has drawn up a list of potential candidates to replace the 57-year-old tactician and Mancio was surprisingly included.
"I just had a big laugh, they just mentioned his name to wind up our fans," concluded Cobolli.

Legrottaglie: «The derby counts as much as the Real Madrid game»
«I felt a slight pain in my buttock against Real Madrid, but I stayed on the pitch for the whole of the first half, because in a game like that you can endure anything a lot more easily. But from previous experience I thought it wiser to come off eventually and I did the right thing, because I avoided an injury that would've made me miss the derby game». Nicola Legrottaglie will be on the team on Saturday and already feels the atmosphere of the game between the two city rivals: «The derby holds a special fascination, the same that a match like the one against Real Madrid can have. I think Tuesday's game will prove to be the turning point in our season and it'll give us the drive we need to win the next few games, starting from the one against Toro».
