Amauri: "Our way of replying to excessive criticism"
After a series of not too positive results, everybody at Juventus wanted a prestigious win and the game against Real Madrid came just at the right moment. A crucial win that gives a boost toward the next round, but that also gave confidence back to the team.
And also to the individual players, like Amauri for instance. The Brazilian scored his first Champions League goal tonight, and these were his remarks at the end of the game against the Spaniards: «I'd always dreamed of scoring in the Champions League and now I finally have. People saw the real Juve tonight; we felt hurt by everything that had been said about us. The press exaggerated saying we weren't getting along and that the squad was divided. Now let's hope this win can overturn the situation, but it was just a difficult period not a crisis».
