Bianconeri Zoom In On Diego - Report
Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport reports that Juventus are still following Werder Bremen ace Diego closely, and the club executives will reportedly meet with his agent this morning.
The whispers linking the Brazilian star to the Corso Galileo Ferraris outfit started last January, when sporting director Alessio Secco apparently flew several times to Germany to have talks with the Bremen side.
Even though a concrete bid never materialized, the rumour mill set off again this summer when a host of top European teams, including the Old Lady and Spanish club Atletico Madrid were said to be in the frame to secure Diego's services.
However, Werder scared off all his suitors by slapping a whopping €30m price-tag on the 23-year-old.
But the Juventini seem to be still keen on the talented Brazilian and Tuttosport reports today that his father and agent Djair da Cunha, along with a number of lawyers for the Berlin company Creative Talent, will have a meeting with Juventus executives this morning at the Juve headquarters in Corso Galileo Ferraris.
The Creative Talent group represents several footballers, including Lucio and Edinho Ferreira, but the Turin giants are particularly eager to discuss Diego's future and could launch a bid next summer.
The Brazilian also has an Italian passport, hence he could be registered as a non-EU player.
