Ranieri Demands Derby Win
Ranieri Demands Derby Win
Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri is looking ahead to the big Derby Della Mole against bitter city rivals Torino on Saturday but he is keeping his formation secret...
The Bianconeri are full of confidence heading into the game following their win against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Ranieri has warned that Torino will be different to the game in Europe but he is hoping his side pull out another good performance against the relegation strugglers.
"Torino have been able to train well and rest. We on the other hand have only just been able to think about this game after the Real clash," said Ranieri during the Friday afternoon press conference.
"We have spent plenty in terms of physical work rate this week but the win against Real Madrid has given us the extra motivation and determination.
"The Derby is a special game in unique ways and we need to make sure we give our fans a great showing of football. We hope the atmosphere here is changing."
The coach then had a few words on his formation but he is giving nothing away. Ranieri is expected to tinker given the injuries which have ripped through his side.
"I will choose the team during tomorrow's training session and I will evaluate the situation and see what is the right formula," added the coach.
"It all depends on where I play [Pave] Nedved. Everything is possible. In these last few days we have tried to recover from the mid-week game. Camoranesi? He is still recovering. I hope to have him back for the game against Bologna."
La Vecchia Signora has been struggling in Serie A and a much needed win will go down well at Vinovo.
Any further slip ups could see their Scudetto ambitions fade away as Juve are already seven points behind league leaders Inter.
