Mrs Amauri: I want him Italian

Amauri’s wife Cynthia confessed she would rather see her husband playing for Italy than for his homeland Brazil.
The Juventus striker’s wife is also Brazilian but has been living in Italy for more than 10 years.
“Which national team should my husband play for? I’d prefer Italy to Brazil,” she told Sky Sport.
“I would like to become Italian too. We have to wait but they told me procedures are going well. I could have earnt my nationality long ago since my grandfather has Italian origins. If only I had known, it would have been so important now."
With his wife holding a new passport it would be easier for Amauri to earn Italian nationality.
The former Palermo ace has already admitted he would be delighted to receive a call from Marcello Lippi although at first the South American nation was his favourite option.
Amauri has been impressive for Juventus this season scoring five goals in nine games and is expected to start, alongside Alessandro Del Piero, on Saturday against Roma.
