Real Madrid Clashes Could Seal Ranieri's Future

Real Madrid Clashes Could Seal Ranieri's Future

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri's future at the club is far from secure, despite the latest claims from president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli that he will not be replaced during the season.

According to Italian daily Tuttosport, Ranieri's future with the Old Lady could be tied to the results that his team manages to produce in the coming weeks.

The Bianconeri will face some very difficult opponents in Serie A, including Napoli, Torino and Roma, but what would really be decisive is the results that the team will obtain in the Champions League in the double clash against Real Madrid.

Defeats will most likely sway Cobolli Gigli to take a drastic decision which the Juventus fans seem to be favouring following the latest negative results and poor performances.

Always according to Tuttosport, the favourites to take over Ranieri's job would be Gianluca Vialli, Ciro Ferrara, Frank Rijkaard and Roberto Donadoni.

The only other time in recent history where the Bianconeri changed coach midway through the season was during the 1998/99 season, but back then Marcello Lippi had decided to quit and was not sacked.
