Camoranesi: «We've been affected by injuries»

«We'll be facing the next few games with a serene attitude, because we're in good shape as a group and as a team. Unfortunately the fact we had a lot of injured players affected us a great deal in the last few games ». Mauro German Camoranesi, interviewed by Juventus Channel, talked about the team's current situation. Injuries are taking their toll and the midfielder is out of action too at the moment due to muscle problems, but everybody is eager to redeem themselves as soon as possible: « Napoli don't scare us now, like they didn't before. We respect them as we respect every team, also considering that the League is very competitive this year. But we've never feared anyone. This includes Real Madrid, also because I think they fear us, as we've always qualified against them in recent years; I think they consider the game against us a difficult one».

Countdown to the game against the Merengues has begun by now and tension is increasing: «Undoubtedly we have a different attitude towards the Champions League, because we've been out of all European competitions for two years. This doesn't mean we think less of the League, but the Champions League always represents the highest point, in footballing terms, because you face the best teams in all of Europe».

Before Real Madrid, though, there's a keyed up Napoli side to face: «The team mates who played in the National teams will be coming back now and after a few days we'll have an important match such as the one at the San Paolo to face. This is a difficult period because many of our players are not 100% fit. There's a lot of talk at the moment, but at the end of the day the squad is always the same. We know what our aims are, we haven't forgotten them for sure, and we'll continue working, hoping that this difficult period ends, especially in terms of all the injuries».
