Ranieri sees the light

Juventus are slowly finding their feet again, assures Claudio Ranieri after a third straight win in all competition.

“The important thing right now is to get on the right track so we can start climbing back up that hill.”

The 2-1 victory away to Bologna was secured by a Pavel Nedved brace – the second taking a decisive deflection off a defender.

It was their third win on the trot after Real Madrid and Torino, achieved despite an injury list that includes Gigi Buffon, Alessandro Del Piero, David Trezeguet, Christian Poulsen, Hasan Salihamidzic, Cristiano Zanetti, Paolo De Ceglie and Claudio Marchisio.

“Of course we have some problems, as the injuries are not letting up and with a game every three days several top players run the risk of missing up to six matches, even if it is a minor fitness issue,” said the tactician.

“However, the lads who are replacing them are proving themselves up to the task and confirm that when Juventus make a move on the transfer market, it is always a carefully weighted decision.”

Amauri has played in every match this season in all competition and seemed tired at the Dall’Ara.

“I am undoubtedly squeezing the juice out of some players, but over the course of the season hope to allow them some rest time too.”
