Ranieri Takes Blame For Camoranesi Injury

Ranieri Takes Blame For Camoranesi Injury

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri admitted that it was his fault that influential midfielder Mauro German Camoranesi picked up an injury as he played him without the player being fully fit yet.

The Bianconeri will be facing a delicate clash on Saturday as they play against rivals Torino in the Derby della Molle in Turin.

Ranieri spoke about the current injured players and in particular Camoranesi who has had an unlucky season so far, and the coach admitted that he was mainly to blame for his recent injury.

"There were various types of injuries," explained the former Parma coach. "Some in their tendons, others to their knees and only three on their quadriceps: Tiago, Iaquinta and Marchionni.

"Zanetti had problems in that area, but due to the big knock he received at Hamburg, therefore it's a different cause.

"I take the responsibility for Camoranesi's injury, because he was not fine and I still put him on the pitch.

"He does not know how to say no and I to try to win the game, I lost both the match and him."
