8,000 Euros “from space” to the Sant’Anna

8,000 Euros “from space” to the Sant’Anna

8,000 Euros, “from space” to the Growing Together at the Sant’Anna Foundation: that's how much the auction on Del Piero and Nedved's “space” shirts, the ones launched into orbit by the RealDream Association, raised. The auction, held on the Juvestore.com website in June 2007, was won by Saudi prince Turki Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. A football lover and great Juventus fan (he recently opened the first-ever Juventus Store outside of Italy, in Riyadh), the Prince had received the shirts directly from Del Piero and Nedved's hands just before the first match of the League, Juventus vs. Livorno. Yesterday morning, at Juventus' headquarters in Corso Galileo Ferraris, in Turin, the cheque was finally handed over. Doctor Daniele Farina, the man in charge of the Newborn Department at the Sant'Anna Hospital in Turin, was there to accept the cheque, welcomed by Chairman Cobolli Gigli in person.
