Contrary to recent rumours, Sampdoria boss Walter Mazzarri doesn’t expect tomorrow’s game against Juventus to be his last on the Blucerchiati bench.

Mazzarri has delivered UEFA Cup qualification after an impressive maiden campaign at Doria.

But according to Press sources the former Reggina hero has fallen out with President Riccardo Garrone and is considering a move to Lazio this summer.

“Given the situation that has been created, I think that it is the right moment to make certain things clear using that clarity that I am known for,” Mazzarri raged.

“Most of all I want things to be transparent due to the profound respect that I have for the Samp fans so that they can celebrate after the final game of a great year.

“I agree with sporting director Beppe Marotta when he says that a marriage takes two.

“I am completely ready and willing to meet with the club to discuss the future of the club and sort out the possible misunderstandings of the last week.”

Mazzarri is determined that the recent speculation won’t interfere with his preparations for the last game of the season against Juve on Saturday evening.

“Even if it doesn’t count for anything in the League table, it’s important to me anyway,” he claimed.

“I want to see my side give their best and look for what I think would be a club record points tally in Serie A.

“But we are up against a great side and the main thing is that our fans are able to celebrate a great season because satisfying your public is what counts.”

Sampdoria (probable): Mirante; Gastaldello, Sala, Accardi; Maggio, Sammarco, Palombo, Franceschini, Pieri; Cassano, Bonazzoli
