Palladino Rejects Palermo Move
Palladino Rejects Palermo Move
Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini has revealed that Juventus star Raffaele Palladino has rejected a move to the Rosanero.
Palladino is widely regarded as one of Italy’s best young talents, however he has had a frustrating season where he has often either sat on the bench, or been employed in an unfavoured wide midfield position.
The 24-year-old is certain to leave at the end of the season, and Juve sporting director Alessio Secco has worked feverishly to include Palladino in the exchange deal that will see Amauri join the Bianconeri.
However Zamparini has confirmed that Palladino has rejected a transfer to Sicily.
“He doesn’t want to come to Palermo,” the fiery businessman told journalists.
“He’s a bit like everyone else who doesn’t know the place and its beauty.”
Palladino is believed to be holding out for a move either to Fiorentina, or hometown club Napoli.
Meanwhile Zamparini has also confirmed for the umpteenth time that Amauri is extremely close to joining Juve.
“It’s almost done – we are very close to completion of the deal,” he declared.
“We are working out the final details and we are all very optimistic. There is a 98 per cent chance that Amauri will join Juve.
“Not much depends on Palermo now. It’s down to the Old Lady to work out terms with the player and I would expect that to happen soon.”
