Buffon: Inter Will Win Title

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is certain that Inter will lift the scudetto this season and he was full of praise for the Nerazzurri.

The shot stopper has, yet again, made his claim to be arguably the best shot stopper in world football following another fine season between the sticks.

Buffon believes Inter deserve to win the league and he has reassured Azzurri fans that he will be playing in Euro 2008 despite concerns over his recent back problems.

“Inter have dealt with every situation and their adversaries have not been able to profit from their recent blip,” Buffon told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“They will win the scudetto because they are the strongest team and they continue doing well.

“Compliments to Inter and Mancini. Would I be surprised to see Mancini leave? When you talk about football and Inter then I am not surprised, there have been many rebounds in Milan."

There have also been suggestions that Claudio Ranieri may give Buffon a rest for the final few games of the season, something which has raised concern over his fitness, but the shot-stopper insists all is well.

“As for the Euro’s I will be there 100 percent, I have been playing for four months now and we have managed to sort out the back problem.

“Ranieri might rest me but that’s down to him, we spoke about it and I told him I am always available.”

Juventus will hope to return to winning ways against relegation strugglers Catania at the weekend.
