FT : Siena vs Juventus : 1-0
In third place on the podium
Two games before the end of the 2007/08 League championship, Juventus already know their fate. They'll end up third and will therefore need to play the Champions League preliminary rounds.
The chase to catch up with Roma in second place ended in Siena today. After nine consecutive wins (between Serie A and the Italian Cup), the Bianconeri lost against the Tuscan team, who deservedly celebrate avoiding relegation. It ended 1-0 thanks to a great Kharja goal after just a handful of minutes. The attempts to equalize near the end were to no avail, particularly Camoranesi's and Nedved's efforts.
The League still has a lot of verdicts to give - the title race is open again, the chase for fourth place too, and the fight to avoid relegation is in full swing – but Juventus will practically play two exhibition matches: on Sunday against Catania, who aren't safe yet, and the last one (on May 17) away at Sampdoria.
