Tiago Voted Biggest Serie A Transfer Flop
Juventus midfielder Tiago has been voted the biggest transfer flop of the season in Serie A...
An online poll of fans at the official website of the Corriere dello Sport has seen Tiago voted the biggest transfer flop of the season in Serie A.
The Portuguese international has failed to truly show for La Vecchia Signora the same form that saw him shine at Lyon and led to his big transfer to the Italian club in the summer.
His failure to retain this level of performance since arriving in Italy has long been reported in the press, despite the 26-year-old being given a more influential role in the squad of late.
In second place was Fernando Muslera of Lazio, while Joaquín Larrivey of Cagliari came third.
The results:
1. Tiago Mendes (Juventus)
2. Fernando Musler (Lazio)
3. Joaquín Larrivey (Cagliari)
4. Diego Tristán (Livorno)
5. Álvaro Recoba (Torino)
6. Mauro Esposito (Roma)
7. Emerson (Milan)
8. Sergio Almirón (Juventus)
9. Rolando Bianchi (Lazio)
10. Cristiano Lucarelli (Parma)
