Player Ratings: Juventus 1-2 Palermo

Player Ratings: Juventus 1-2 Palermo

Buffon - 6.5: Made one outstanding save from Cavani, only to then see Miccoli turn home the rebound. Also blameless on Mchedlidze's winner. Looked completely fed up at the end with the performance from those in front of him.

Grygera - 5.5: Caught out of position on occasions defensively, and his passing and crossing coming forward was also poor.

Mellberg - 6.0: Struggled in the opening half-hour, particularly with the pace and movement of Miccoli and Cavani, and his misery was compounded when he was forced off injured.

Knezevic - 5.0: Did not look like a defender of Juventus standard today. Troubled all afternoon, and reacted slow to the rebound for Miccol's goal.

De Ceglie -5.5: Has struggled a little in his last two games, and just like against BATE he left his left hand side open on more than one occasion.

Marchisio - 7.0: The only Juventus player in midfield who stood up to the likes of Bresciano and Simplicio. At the moment Marchisio is Juve's best performing midfielder.

Poulsen - 5.5: It is often said that Poulsen's good work passes unnoticed, but it really is hard at the moment to find where this good work is. Would Juve be better off with Poulsen, or other summer targets like Xabi Alonso, Diego and Rafael van der Vaart?

Sissoko - 3.5: Simply shocking game from Sissoko, who has been quite dreadful recently for Juve. Was sleeping on Miccoli's goal, allowing Cavani to just run straight past him. He then managed to get booked twice in the space of five minutes before half time to leave his side a man down for more than half the game.

Giovinco - 6.5: One of the only players in the Juve team who looked capable of making something happen. Ranieri inexplicably substituted him at 1-1, and 15 seconds later Palermo went back ahead.

Amauri -6.0: Battled valiantly did Amauri and won plenty of free kicks around the edge of the area, but was not given the service he thrives on, particularly from crosses, which were non-existent today.

Del Piero - 6.5: Scored Juve's equaliser with a fine free kick, even if Amelia must certainly take some blame. Tried to make things happen but he clearly needs rest. It's not rocket science that a 34-year-old shouldn't start four games in 10 days.

Subs: Salihamidzic 5.5, Camoranesi 5.5, Nedved N/A
