Buffon And Camoranesi Out For 50 Days
Juventus and Italy duo Gianluigi Buffon and Mauro Camoranesi have both been ruled out of action for a combined period of up to 50 days. Azzurri medics have confirmed the worst as the bad news continues for the Old Lady...
The two players were called up by Marcello Lippi to represent La Nazionale in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
However, neither player will get a game as they have both been told to go home and rest by the Azzurri medical staff.
Buffon and Camoranesi have been suffering from various muscular problems and they underwent tests on Tuesday morning. The worst has now been confirmed as Juve and Italy's woes continue to grow.
Professor Castellacci has revealed that the Bianconeri duo will need to put their feet up before they can even think about kicking a ball.
"Both players are out of both games and they will stay here until Friday after an agreement with Juventus," said the medical chief.
"Buffon has a first degree muscular tear on his right leg adductor muscle and he will be out for at least 30 days. Camoranesi also has a muscular problem on his right leg.
"The injury is less serious to Buffon's and he will be out for 20 days."
Thus both players will be out of action for a total of 50 days. It's not good news for Italy or Juventus.
The Bianconeri have been struggling badly and both players will miss key games in the Champions League and in Serie A.
