Maybe Other Teams Are Playing Better - Blanc
Juventus manager Jean Claude Blanc gave his take on the team's problems following yesterday's defeat to Palermo.
Following the 2-1 home defeat to Palermo yesterday, which was undoubtedly the low point of a disappointing start to the season, at Juventus everyone is trying to keep things calm.
The majority of the fans are already asking for coach Claudio Ranieri's head, but president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has already confirmed his trust in the former Chelsea and Valencia manager.
The latest member of Juve's backroom staff who tried to give the team some serenity is managing director Jean Claude Blanc.
"At the moment we have to stay calm, we are all with Ranieri," he said. "We're not going to change the coach after one defeat. The project continues, we are convinced we are on the right road."
Asked why he thinks the team aren't doing very well lately, Blanc said: "Why did Juve lose? We are also asking that ourselves, but it can happen that other teams are simply playing better. Now we have another tough series of matches: I'm happy we're facing Napoli, Real Madrid, and Roma in quick succession, so we'll quickly see what we're made of."
