Bianconeri's Shopping Spree In Florence

Bianconeri's Shopping Spree In Florence

Turin-based sports newspaper Tuttosport reports that Juventus' directors are prepared to ransack the Della Valle brothers' squad next summer, starting with the the coach.

The Old Lady have made their worst start to a campaign since the introduction of three points for a win, and embattled boss Claudio Ranieri's job hangs in the balance, after the dismal home defeat to Palermo last weekend.

The ex-Chelsea boss was already under the spotlight after three draws on the trot against Catania, Sampdoria and BATE Borisov, but the situation reached boiling point on Sunday.

There have been whispers of dressing room insubordination, with the old guard on the front line, and Turin media speculated that ex-Napoli and Juve stalwart Ciro Ferrara was ready to take over.

Yesterday Tuttosport suggested that Alessio Secco and Jean-Claude Blanc were tracking Cesare Prandelli in order to offer him the Bianconeri hot-seat next summer.

But the newspaper now claims that Juve are actually planning a major shopping spree in Tuscany.

Along with the ex-Parma tactician, Viola's Italian international Riccardo Montolivo and full-back Juan Manuel Vargas are rumoured to be primary targets for the Old Lady come June.

Montolivo has recently completed the step up from the Under-21 level to the senior Italy team, while highly-rated left-back Vargas joined the Gigliati from Catania this summer after a lengthy transfer saga, with Spanish giants Real Madrid also reportedly interested to land the Peruvian.
