Duo linked with Juve
Duo linked with Juve bench
Thursday 2 October, 2008
There are rumours in Italy that Claudio Ranieri's position on the Juventus bench is in jeopardy and there are two possible replacements.
The Old Lady started the season well but they have since drawn with Sampdoria and Catania and were held by minnows BATE Borisov in the Champions League.
Patience is always in short supply amongst the peninsula's journalists and there are whispers that Ranieri is running out of time.
According to Tuttosport, Fiorentina tactician Claudio Prandelli is the No 1 target for the Bianconeri directors.
However, Prandelli has repeatedly stressed his attachment to Florence and would be highly unlikely to join the Viola's sworn rivals.
An alternative may be former Juve defensive ace Ciro Ferrara who is on the staff in Turin and was part of the World Cup 2006 winning coaching team.
For now, Ranieri will be concentrating on delivering against Palermo this weekend and the experienced Coach is unlikely to be fazed by the speculation.
