Buffon: We Need To Standby Ranieri And Win
Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon believes his side should support their caoch Claudio Ranieri after he came under heavy criticism from the Italian media for the Bianconeri's recent poor form...
The Italian international has been out with injury and he has seen his side draw three times on the bounce against Catania and Sampdoria in Serie A and away to Bate Borisov in the Champions League.
Reports in Italy have heckled Ranieri and the team and the coach has been criticised badly with Tuttosport claiming that he may even be fired as early as Sunday.
Buffon doesn't agree with all the media hype and he has praised his coach.
The shot stopper has the answer to Juve's woes, suggesting the players and club should stick together, win and show everyone how to bounce back.
"It's all one big game. You know there will be criticisms if you don't win and sometimes I just feel like laughing," said Buffon.
"I think the coach knows what he is doing and he has plenty of experience and he will not be influenced by the media. In any case, we have to standby him and give him a hand by winning."
The number one is slowly recovering from injury and he is likely to make his return against Palermo this weekend. Juve need three points or the Scudetto will quickly become out of sight this term.
